About Joanne Field
Joanne Field
Throughout her daughter’s remarkable recovery from a traumatic brain injury, which involved the support of dozens of health-care practitioners and countless procedures and activities, Joanne Field was the constant. She was the tireless advocate for Jennifer’s cause, the fulcrum of continuity among many people, and the champion of inventive paths to healing. Following a dispiriting prognosis from a prominent neurologist, Joanne woke from a fitful sleep with a sense that the path to Jennifer’s recovery lay in the books on alternative health care that she had accumulated during her years as a supplements retailer. This began an odyssey that uncovered new options for recovery and produced remarkable results for Jennifer. These options are the cornerstone of the J Field Foundation.
Joanne is a poet, an avid croquet player, a board member of the J Field Foundation and a presenter and panelist at conferences on TBI rehabilitation issues. She is currently working on a children’s book and an account of Jennifer’s automobile accident and the therapies that enabled her to pursue a rewarding and productive life. She lives in New Hampshire and Florida.
Joanne Field describes Jennifer’s life altering car accident in the video trailer seen below, which is taken from the DVD of Jennifer’s One Woman Show A Distant Memory, on sale now at Amazon.com
