Jennifer Field

Jennifer Field TBI survivor, advocate, and inspirational speaker

Jennifer Field

Jennifer sustained a life changing severe head injury in an automobile accident when she was seventeen years old. Her journey from a lengthy deep coma to her graduation magna cum laude, culminating in her full and balanced life today has become a shining light to so many.

Jennifer tells of her recovery in A Distant Memory, Jennifer’s critically acclaimed, autobiographical one-woman show that enjoyed an extended run at The Ruskin Group Theatre in Los Angeles in 2005 and has since been taken on the road to colleges and rehabilitation facilities throughout the country.

Audiences are taken on her inspirational day-to-day fight for physical independence. Determined and unwilling to give up, Jennifer ignored her doctor’s prognosis and with the help of her loving and dedicated Mother, Joanne Field, combed the globe in search of treatments and therapies that would help her regain her life. The slow and often despairing journey took every ounce of strength and commitment they had.

Brain injury survivors identify with the struggles of Jennifer and her family and draw hope and inspiration from the autobiography of the successful brain injury rehabilitation and recovery of Jennifer Field. Jennifer has served as a conference keynote speaker before brain injury caregivers and rehabilitation specialists who are moved by the inspirational determination and dedication she has shown throughout her rehabilitation and recovery to build a meaningful life after her accident. To this end Jennifer has created the J Field Foundation to raise funds to advocate and promote her message of hope across the country.
